House of Ivy carries the name of a woman whose life was defined by quiet strength and timeless grace.
Ivy Mae Hansen built beauty in the most grounded, steadfast ways — through her award-winning gardens, through the work of her hands, and through the unwavering devotion she offered to family, farm, and community.
Her gardens were known for their color and abundance, but her true legacy lived in the way she held things together. She embodied the belief that beauty and resilience can share the same soil, that elegance is not fragile, and that love is something you nurture season after season.

Her life was grounded in the outdoors — in river currents, back roads, wildlife, and the quiet places where nature teaches resilience. She stood fearlessly for what could not stand for itself and carried a rare kindness that left an imprint long before it was fully understood.
The Sara Amasa Project is a gentle tribute to that spirit and a steadfast call to live with intention — to reconnect with nature, to give generously, and to protect what is fragile.
